SHAC
SHAC
The El Campo ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is an advisory group of individuals who represent various segments of the community. The group acts collectively to provide advice and make recommendations to the school system on various aspects of school health, including, but not limited to: nutrition services, health education, physical education and parent/community involvement. The primary function of El Campo schools is to provide students with the learning experience necessary for maximum intellectual development. The success of this process is affected by the child’s emotional, social, and physical health. For this reason, the purpose of coordinated school health programming is twofold: first, to consider the total human being in the educational process, and second, to motivate students, parents, and staff to help themselves and others to live healthy, productive lives.
