Moises Rodriguez, Assistant Principal of El Campo Middle School in El Campo TX has been selected to represent the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals as a Region 3 Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year. TASSP recognizes outstanding principals and assistant principals from the twenty region Education Service Centers in the state. School administrators are nominated and chosen by their peers within their regions. Nominations are based upon exemplary performance and outstanding leadership. As a Region 3 winner, Moises Rodriguez is eligible to compete for the state title of Texas Assistant Principal of the Year.

 Moises Rodriguez, a 6 -year assistant principal has been a member of the leadership team at El Campo Middle School since 2022. He attended University of Houston-Victoria and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He attended Lamar University  and was awarded a Master of Education in Educational Administration. Moises Rodriguez sees himself as being a risk taker, a visionary and leader of learners. He is credited with numerous achievements including spearheading and shepherding

the recently reestablished LV Church in El Campo TX. Moises Rodriguez states, “It is an honor to receive this award/recognition and to represent Region 3 as APOY. This award, which holds a significant place in my journey, encourages me to continue to grow in my calling to education. One of my goals is to lead a life that influences the present and future generations. My service to our community and school will allow me to achieve it.”

 Each of the region winners will be recognized during the Josten’s Night of the Stars Awards Dinner held in conjunction with the TASSP Summer held each year in June. Each will be presented with an award and recognized in a commemorative book entitled Texas Principals, Texas Heroes.
