El Campo WIT (Workforce Industry Training) students started off the year with a trip to Texas State University-San Marcos. After touring the campus, students enjoyed an educational and FUN trip to The Meadow Center. Students enjoyed the glass bottom boats and a tour of Spring Lake wetlands. Students were able to participate in an environmental program where they got a concrete background in understanding the impact of exotic species on diverse ecosystems and endangered species, as well as the effect of pollution on a habitat. Students conducted macroinvertebrate testing at a location on Sink Creek which feeds into Spring Lake. 🎉Help us celebrate our Ricebird & Ladybird Coaches! Today is officially Texas High School Coaches Day across the state of Texas. The state legislature of Texas has made November 3rd Texas High School Coaches Day in appreciation for what coaches do for kids and communities all across the state.
Here in El Campo, we have a group of outstanding coaches who are dedicated to serving the students of El Campo ISD in a variety of ways. The job of a coach extends well beyond normal business hours and beyond the wins and losses of the games. Today we thank our coaches for the difference they make in the lives of students, and the manner in which they represent our district and community throughout the year!
Thank you, coaches!

HISPRINT Ministries, a sports and community outreach out of Houston, recently donated multiple pairs of hard-to-find/larger-sized athletic cleats/trainers to El Campo Middle School athletes. Thank you to HISPRINT Ministries for your generosity and for supporting ECMS athletes!
