In 8th grade science, Ms. Campbell's students used their engineering skills to build bridges using cups, tape, and paper. The goal was to be able to hold a minimum of 5 washers. They excelled and were able to construct bridges that held the whole container of washers.

On August 28, 2024, El Campo ISD's Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing at 5:45 pm. The Regular Meeting will follow at 6:00 pm. Both meetings will be at the Administration Building, 700 W. Norris, El Campo, TX.

The Ricebirds kick off their football season against the Wharton Tigers at home this Friday, August 30th.
Pre-sale tickets for students are $4 and $6 for adults. You can buy pre-sale tickets at any campus or the athletic office Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Tickets will be $8 per person cash only at the gate.
NHS and Student Council are partnering to host the first blood drive of the school year in honor of Amelia Lyford. Donors must be at least 16 years old. The drive will be on Wednesday, August 28 in the ECHS practice gym from 9am-3pm. Amelia continues to progress in her courageous battle with leukemia and makes more memories with her family and friends because of HEROS like YOU. Amelia has received multiple transfusions at Texas Children's Hospital as part of her treatment. August Community Service - Donations to the Michael DeBakey Hospital for Veterans. This year they don't want travel-sized items but the average-sized product. El Campo FFA would appreciate your help in donating to this organization. We will be collecting items at the August meeting.
El Campo High School and La Grange High School will participate in a scrimmage on August 16, 2024, with all proceeds to be donated to the THSCEF Benevolence Fund. This day has become known as OUR DAY TO SHINE. The THSCEF Benevolence fund was established by the Texas High School Coaches Association Board of Directors to assist athletes and coaches experiencing hardship. Over 1,165 schools have participated in OUR DAY TO SHINE and raised over $721,000.00. The THSCEF has paid over $641,000.00 to athletes and coaches in need. Don't forget! The ECMS 6th Grade Orientation is TODAY, August 8th, from 5:30-7:30pm. This is not a come and go event but a full 2 hour orientation for students and parents. Need help completing the REQUIRED back-to-school online registration documents or access to a computer? If so, join us TONIGHT, July 30th, from 5:30-6:30 at El Campo Middle School.
If you update your address during registration, you must provide proper documentation to the campus for registration to be complete. Proper documentation includes proof of residence: utility bill (water, gas, or electric). *Must be a current bill in the parent/guardian's name and match the parent/guardian's ID and service address.
Registration help is also available on any campus, 7:30-4:00, Monday-Friday.
