Coach Reeve is excited to announce that two of his coaches have received some outstanding honors within the Texas High School Coaches Association: Dean "Doc" Easter was voted as the THSCA Region 5 Trainer of the Year, and he will be considered for the statewide Trainer of the Year award in April. This is a tremendous honor that is not easily attained within the THSCA. Michael Barta has been selected to be a part of the THSCA ROCK Mentoring Program. To be selected, you must be a coach within the first 5 years of your career and be recognized as a potential rising star in the profession. The ROCK Mentoring Program will not only help Barta grow as a coach but will also give him the unique opportunity to take an active role in THSCA. This too is a great honor! "Both of these coaches do an outstanding job and represent El Campo ISD well both regionally and statewide." - Travis Reeve, Ricebird Athletic Director

Mrs. Hopper's A&P for Health Care Care Careers class has been learning about technical advances in health science and finished up by studying about bioengineering. Students had to use their bioengineering skills to create an egg drop contraption that would protect an egg from a high fall. In both classes, it was about a half and half split between eggs that survived and eggs that cracked.
