Myatt Pre-K students and staff would like to thank El Campo's public library for allowing us to tour the library and for sharing with us about their Summer Programs. Myatt Pre-K also brought along a poster thanking an anonymous donor for her generous donation of a book for every Pre-K and ECSE student. She purchased the books from the El Campo Library book fair in memory of her daughter who loved to read.






ECHS Life Skills and STEP II had a fun morning fishing at Legacy Park with FFA buddies on Thursday. One fish was caught, and everyone had a great time!









Our El Campo-Rice Co-op has three athletes competing in the Special Olympics Texas Summer Games taking place in San Antonio this weekend. Good luck to Laura, Summer, and Dallas!

At last night's School Board Meeting, the board gave a round of applause to the Class of 2023 Valedictorian, Ella Rod, and Salutatorian, Morgan Russell!

The Nuclear Power Institute (NPI) , the organization that created and supports our
Workforce Industry Training (WIT) and WIT Jr programs, has created a new outreach program.
The program is, "Tilly Loves Tiny Readers are Tomorrow's Leaders" (TRTLs), to reach Pre-K - 2nd grade students, Tilly Loves TRTLs is a series of stories, videos, and coloring stories focusing on early workforce development awareness while encouraging reading and curiosity. This series of seven stories and videos are intended to be encouraging, inspiring, and aspirational of the "What I can be when I grow up?" possibilities. We hope to incorporate Tilly into our WIT mentoring programs soon.

Ricebirds, due to issues with the Skyward computer program, El Campo High School is having to reschedule the Senior Academic Excellence and Scholarship awards assembly and the 9th - 11th Academic Excellence to Monday, May 22nd.
The 9th – 11th Academic Excellence awards assembly will be in the auditorium at 1:30 PM. The Senior Academic Excellence and Scholarship awards assembly will be in the auditorium at 5:30 PM. Guests may park in the stadium parking lot and enter through the gate by the competition gym. The doors to the auditorium will open 30 minutes prior to each assembly.
Students will be notified by the end of the week if they are receiving an award. Students will need to be dressed in business casual and meet all ECISD dress code requirements and report to the cafeteria 30 minutes prior to their respective assembly.

FCCLA held its annual recognition breakfast this week! Students that earned competition plaques, graduation cords, and scholarships were recognized along with the Advanced Culinary students that earned their ServSafe Manager’s certification. It was a great morning!
