🎓 Countdown to Graduation - #TBT to 50 years ago - Class of 1973. "Graduating 307 Seniors, ECHS initiated a new commencement custom for 1973. Instead of the usual individual tassel-changing to signify graduation, the senior class president, John Rod, instigated the group changing of the tassels. This ceremony unified the class for the last time." - 1973 ECHO

HOSA members took a field trip to visit the UTMB School of Nursing (Mrs. Kacer's alma mater) and the School of Health Professionals in Galveston this past Friday. They started the day hearing about the programs offered and the requirements needed. This was followed by a tour of the campus showcasing the nursing skills lab, study areas, and "Old Red" which at one point was a surgical theater (a place for medical students to watch live surgeries in a theater-style setting). They wrapped up the day with lunch at The Spot for burgers and ice cream while hanging out on the Seawall and enjoying the beautiful weather! 🏆 Congratulations to ECMS Ricebirds Kolbie Klatt and Damani Hernandez on winning 7th grade mixed doubles. They are the District Champions!

Horticulture students have been harvesting beautiful squash, zucchini, green beans, banana peppers, and cucumbers! Students have also learned what happens when zucchini blend into the garden and grow too big. Students get to take home everything they grow!
