The ECHS WIT Organization invites all 24-25 incoming high school students to a college planning evening on April 17 from 5-7 in the high school library. WCJC and local businesses will talk about helpful strategies for prepping for college and scholarship applications. You'll learn about resume building, financial aid, work ethic, and so much more. Space is limited, so sign up now with Mrs. Kmiec in room A223 or in the counselor's office.

Make plans to attend the STARS' presentation of “The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong!” You can catch a performance on Saturday, April 6th at 7 pm or on Sunday, April 7th at 2 pm in the high school auditorium. Admission is free, but they are taking donations to benefit the Priesmeyer family to offset the cost of Mrs. Nicole Priesmeyer's cancer treatments. They will also have a bake sale at the performance that will go towards the Priesmeyers. The STARS hope you can make it!

ECISD Special Education Department presents "Ricebird Field Day 2024" featuring the SPED students of Step II, Life Skills and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) programs.
Parents, come out and watch the kids enjoy a variety of events at Ricebird Stadium!

⌚ Opening Ceremony @ 9:30 am
⭐Please sit in the home side stands for the opening ceremony. Spectators are invited onto the field to watch events after the conclusion of the opening ceremony. Park in the back lot behind the weight room off of Pecan Street. Lunch will be provided to students and staff after the games.
***If it is raining, we will move Field Day into the practice gym. The times will change, and parents will need to stay in the bleachers as there is not enough room on the gym floor for everyone. El Campo will be from 9:00-10:15, and East Bernard, Rice, and Wharton will be from 10:30-11:40.

At the Boys’ State Powerlifting Meet, all the Ricebirds hit their personal bests, but Aidan Garcia walked away with some hardware placing 5th in his weight class. He squatted 570, benched 405, and deadlifted 550 totaling 1,525 at 163 body weight!
