It was the year when dabbing became popular, and the most searched costume idea that year was Harley Quinn, the crazed female supervillain from "Suicide Squad." And, don't forget about a dress that broke the internet....was it white and gold or blue and black????
Mrs. House’s class participated in music centers where they explored pitch using metallophones, xylophones, and handbells. Each student became a composer by creating music with icon note cards. After composing, they clapped out the rhythms they had created. Additionally, they built jack-o'-lanterns while singing the song "Pumpkin, Pumpkin."

The fashion of the time was bold and unapologetically vibrant, with shoulder pads, scrunchies, leg warmers, acid-washed jeans, and oversized blazers defining the era's aesthetic.
On weekends, teens flocked to Silver Wings roller skating rink to glide under the glow of the disco ball, cruised Sonic with radios blasting Wham! and Foreigner, or met up at Showplace III to watch The Breakfast Club, Back to the Future, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on the big screen.
