🚨Summer Workouts Update🚨 Parents and Athletes: I hope that each of you have had a great 4th of July week! With Tropical Storm/Hurricane Beryl coming in, I wanted to send everyone an update as to workout plans for next week. Out of an abundance of caution, we are going to cancel workouts for Monday July 8 and Tuesday July 9. The projected path of the storm continues to track close enough to our area that we want everyone to be able to make plans they feel are appropriate to be prepared. The timing of the storm looks to be Monday afternoon/evening as of the last projection update. For this reason, we are canceling for both Monday and Tuesday. We plan to resume workouts on Wednesday for both high school and middle school athletes. This week will be the first week for our incoming 7th and 8th graders. Middle School boys will report and begin workouts at 9:30-11:00am. Middle School girls will workout from 10:30am-noon. High school girls and boys will report at the same times they did during June. We will follow this schedule on Wednesday and Thursday. Because we will have been off for a week and a half prior to Wednesday and we only have a few workouts left in July, we will also hold workouts on Friday morning. Any middle school athletes wanting to come on Friday will need to come during the high school workout times. Boys will be from 7:00-9:00am, and girls will be from 8:00-10:00am. We believe that to continue to progress in preparing for the 2024 season, we need to get a workout in on Friday to make-up for time that has been missed. We will continue to watch the weather and its impact on the area. If the storm moves out quickly with minimal impact, we might open the weight room sometime Tuesday for anyone wanting to come in and get a workout in. If so, we will send out a message on SportsYou as to when that time might be. No matter what happens, we will not resume organized summer workouts until Wednesday morning. If for some reason that needs to be changed to a later date, we will get the information out to you at the appropriate time. If anyone has questions or needs anything, feel free to contact us. Have a great weekend, and be safe as you prepare for the storm. - Travis Reeve
